Markury Scientific provides technical design and consulting services in the field of space and ground-based instruments, imaging
systems, and applications. We work with major institutions and companies as well as small organizations and start-ups. Our services
and products encompass electrical design, firmware development, systems engineering, data analysis, and the necessary leadership to
bring every project to a successful completion. We are currently supporting several NASA science missions, including NASA's new flagship
astronomy observatory: the James Webb Space Telescope .
Markury Scientific was founded in 2009 by Dr. Markus Loose who has over 15
years of experience in the design and integration of electronics systems. Dr. Loose has designed many CMOS-based imagers, including
high definition camera chips and high dynamic range image sensors. During his 9-year tenure at
Teledyne Imaging Sensors, he also developed
the HAWAII-2RG readout integrated circuit and the SIDECAR ASIC, both key enabling components for infrared astronomy in space telescopes
and at leading ground-based observatories around the world. As Principal Investigator, Dr. Loose led the integration of the
SIDECAR
ASIC into the Hubble Space Telescope and into the upcoming James Webb Space Telescope.
